Sustainability
For Vicenzi Group, sustainability is a fundamental principle on which strategic choices, production activity and the involvement of employees and stakeholders are based. Implementing a green approach is not only a necessity, but also a strength: matching entrepreneurial goals with care for the planet and for people has the same value as the care the Group gives to its confectionery products.

How do we choose which issues are of priority importance to our Group? Together. Through the materiality analysis process, staff and stakeholders are involved, and through targeted questionnaires they can indicate the topic of greatest interest to them. This allows us to have a general overview, allowing us to circumscribe the work areas and choose the most suitable tools to achieve the objectives.
Vicenzi Group and the SDGs
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations in 2015, with the aim of addressing specific social, environmental and economic needs globally. This proposal is part of the Agenda 2030 initiative, the UN programme that aims to rebalance disparities of different kinds globally by 2030. As a Group, we have chosen the SDGs considering our business, territorial and economic reality, in accordance with the preferences expressed by our employees, collaborators and stakeholders.
The table shows the Sustainable Development Goals chosen by Vicenzi Group, for community growth that is respectful of the environment, people and local economies.
Vicenzi Group’s partnership with 3Bee, a company involved in creating diagnostic monitoring systems for the health of bees, animals that are invaluable in safeguarding the planet’s biodiversity, continues.
The collaboration aims to encourage the spread of sustainable farming practices through the symbolic adoption of protected oases, which encourage the reproduction and increase of pollinating insects. The small oasis adopted by Vicenzi Group will house and feed about 3,400 pollinating insects each year.

The connection with the local community is fundamental to the Vicenzi Group, which is committed to supporting it, ensuring the development of an environment where citizens can find space and a voice. This commitment translates into tangible actions: from funding and sponsoring cultural and sporting events, to promoting social inclusion projects, to implementing educational and career guidance programs for young people, with a constant focus on sustainability.

The partnership between Matilde Vicenzi and Fondazione Arena, the promoter of the Arena di Verona’s opera, concert and cultural festival, began in 1980. The collaboration has continued over the years and has strengthened even after the Group’s formation. Support for culture and major events in Verona continues today: Matilde Vicenzi supports the Estate Teatrale Veronese, the cultural program of the Roman Theater, and the Wunderkammer Festival, all of which are sponsored by the Foundation and support their projects.
