The goodness of Vicenzi Group
We are committed to providing quality products that meet the highest standards of Italian pastry products. The certifications obtained by Vicenzi Group guarantee food safety and hygiene during production and meet specific nutritional requirements. Our supply chain is controlled at every stage to ensure care and attention. The link with tradition is still strong: Matilde's recipe book is still a source of inspiration for some of the Group's historical products, such as Savoiardi Vicenzovo, Amaretti and Millefoglie of Matilde.
Raw materials
The care towards our products starts with the choice of ingredients: raw materials come from selected suppliers who ensure their high quality while respecting the environment and people's health.

Partnership Italia Zuccheri

Sugar has an important influence on the taste and color of the final product, and in some productions, it also has a significant bearing on consistency. It is therefore essential to rely on a quality product: the collaboration with Italia Zuccheri, active in the production of Savoiardo Vicenzovo in the 300g size package, perfectly meets this need.

Eggs from free-range farming
A sustainable and inclusive entrepreneurial approach also involves protecting the welfare of farm animals. The large number of eggs needed for our production has always required us to seek not only the quality of the raw material, but also the respect of the animals that provide it. Bovolone was the first factory to use exclusively farmed eggs on the ground and has also paved the way for the offices of San Giovanni Lupatoto and Nusco, which increase their use year after year.

Flour
The use of a quality flour ensures that the product’s consistency is maintained, not only during kneading, but also for subsequent baking and final transport. The choice of type of flour depends on the product to be made. Vicenzovo in the 300g package, for example, is made with stone-ground Italian wheat flour, while for Mr.Day’s Whole Wheat Plumcakes, whole wheat flour is used.

Cocoa
Cocoa is one of the basic ingredients for many Vicenzi Group products. However, cocoa is an ingredient that is often linked to localized social issues related to farmers’ working conditions and environmental impact on the local ecosystem. Therefore, Vicenzi Group is committed to purchasing cocoa for some products from Rainforest Alliance-certified suppliers, an international certification system that guarantees cocoa production within the parameters of sustainable agriculture.

Palm oil
Palm oil makes it possible to impart fragrance, texture and body to products: Vicenzi Group sources exclusively from RoundTable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified palm oil, which guarantees ethically and environmentally responsible processing of the raw material. In addition, the Group is undertaking a palm oil substitution policy within its factories: to date, the Nusco plant is palm oil free. In 2022, the Bovolone plant began a gradual replacement of palm oil with alternative oils-sunflower, coconut, and cocoa butter-for both gluten-free products and Grisbì Vegan.
Technologies
Technological innovation has always remained a cornerstone of Vicenzi Group's development, which has implemented standardization of production within its plants.

RAW MATERIALS ANALYSIS
The use of large-scale production processes enables precise and targeted control, which ensures that the quality of raw materials and products is maintained. Each ingredient undergoes a strict verification and selection process to ensure the absence of contamination elements. In this regard, more than 3,500 analyses of raw materials were carried out in 2023 at the San Giovanni Lupatoto, Bovolone, and Nusco plants.
Certifications
The raw materials, products and plants of Vicenzi Group are certified nationally and internationally, to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

ISO 9001 DNV
ISO 9001 is a worldwide recognized standard for the quality of business management processes. This certification helps to improve production and management performance, meet customer expectations, and demonstrate a commitment to security by continuously improving the management system adopted. Vicenzi Group products are DNV certified, the body responsible for the CE marking of goods circulating within the European market. The recognition that DNV certified products meet the requirements of hygiene and food safety set by EU directives and can therefore move freely in EU countries.

BRITISH RETAIL CONSORTIUM - BRC
The BRCGS certification is the tool that attests the agri-food safety of products supplied and resold in large-scale distribution organized globally. Obtaining this recognition certifies the reliability of the products purchased by end consumers and allows you to accurately select suppliers in the global supply chain.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD STANDARD - IFS
IFS Food certification establishes the standards that products and production processes must meet in order to be defined as safe, authentic and of quality, in accordance with legal requirements. This recognition ensures transparency and traceability of production in the marketplace and enhances the end consumer’s perception of reliability.

KOSHER
“Kosher” is the term that refers to the set of religious rules that establish dietary guidelines for practicing Jews. In order to obtain this certification, the products and processes involved must meet strict quality standards, which are a means of achieving the goals of food inclusivity and broader protection for the end consumer, regardless of their religion.

HALAL
In Arabic, the term “halal” means “lawful” and, to date, it guarantees not only compliance with the rules established by Islamic doctrine, but a broader safety procedure. In fact, halal-certified products must be tracked in every component – raw materials, semi-finished products and production process – by meeting food safety standards and training staff in proper hygiene and processing practices. *except for Savoiardi

SLASHED EAR OF CORN - GLUTEN-FREE
The Spiga Barrata mark is AIC’s symbol that helps people with celiac disease identify packaged food products that are safe and suitable for their dietary needs. The certification instantly communicates the guarantees provided by AIC, the Italian Celiac Association. To date, the Barred Ear has become a symbol also recognized at the European level as a standard of safe gluten-free eating.
