The Vicenzi Group celebrates 120 years of Italian pastry excellence by awarding winner Barbara Tosato

Once again the Vicenzi Group strengthens its ties to signature pastry-making and to the world’s most iconic Italian dessert by supporting for the ninth consecutive year the Tiramisù World Cup—an international competition celebrating both tradition and creativity in Italy’s fine pastry.

This year, on the 120th anniversary of the Vicenzi Group’s founding, the company introduced a special award: the “Vicenzovo d’Oro”, named after its flagship product—the Vicenzovo ladyfinger, a key ingredient of classic tiramisù and a global symbol of Italian artisanal quality.

Winner of the World Champion 2025 title in the “original recipe” category was Barbara Tosato from Mestre, an amateur pastry chef and radiology technician at Ospedale dell’Angelo. She won over the judges with a tiramisù prepared in the most authentic tradition, using only Vicenzovo Matilde Vicenzi ladyfingers.

Tiramisù is not just a dessert, it is a symbol of Italian heritage and excellence, like our ladyfinger,” noted Elena Personi Musola, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Vicenzi Group. “To mark our 120th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate the Vicenzovo with an award that recognizes the quality, passion, and craftsmanship that have always defined our company and our partners in the pastry world.”

During the event, held from October 10 to 12 in Treviso, contestants from around the world used over 20,000 Vicenzovo ladyfingers. The event reinforces the role of the Vicenzi Group as technical partner and trusted name in the professional pastry supply chain.

Vicenzovo is made with 100% Italian free-range eggs, locally sourced sugar, and stone-ground flour. Thanks to its ideal balance between structure, absorbency, and flavour, this ladyfinger is a benchmark for pastry shops, the HoReCa sector, and the confectionery industry.

The presentation of the Vicenzovo d’Oro marks the end of this special edition of the Tiramisù World Cup, which brought together tradition, innovation, and market value of the supply chain.
A tribute to Italian craftsmanship, which the Vicenzi Group has shared for over a century with the world as a symbol of quality, authenticity, and passion.
