This is the second professional recognition for the Group, following the award received by Marco Cazzadori last year.

Passion, professionalism, and dedication to one’s work—just like Matilde Vicenzi 120 years ago. One of the leading figures at Vicenzi Group today is Elisa Tosi from Verona, who has been awarded the Order of Merit for Labour, a prestigious national honor that recognizes dedication, professionalism, and long-standing career achievement. Her successful journey within the company has spanned 36 years and has now culminated in a highly coveted recognition that honors her commitment and marks a moment of growth for the entire Vicenzi Group.

“I was completely taken by surprise when I received the news of this prestigious award,” says Elisa Tosi, who has worked with dedication at the San Giovanni Lupatoto plant for 36 years. “I opened the telegram from the Minister of Labour with my daughter, and we were both overjoyed. But the most emotional moment, without a doubt, was the ceremony at the Toniolo Theatre in Mestre, in the presence of government officials and representatives from law enforcement. Receiving the Order of Merit for Labour was an indescribable joy—a truly significant milestone in my professional journey.”

The Order of Merit for Labour is an honor bestowed by the President of the Italian Republic to citizens who have distinguished themselves through commitment, dedication, and excellence in their professional careers. Elisa Tosi, 60, from Montorio, has spent 36 years with Vicenzi Group and has such a strong bond with the company that she clearly recalls her hiring date: January 6, 1989. Over the years, she has held numerous roles and grown professionally. After earning a diploma in chemical and microbiological laboratory analysis, she began working in quality control of both products and raw materials, and more recently, she has been part of the Research and Development division. Among the various responsibilities she has taken on over the years are training staff in the analysis lab and managing the company’s product certifications—contributions that have significantly supported the growth of Vicenzi Group.

This is not the first time that a Vicenzi Group employee has received the prestigious Order of Merit for Labour. Just last year, Marco Cazzadori, Director of the Research and Development division, was honored with the same award after a career spanning over 40 years with the Group. This serves as further proof of the value and dedication that characterize Vicenzi’s team of professionals.

“As Vicenzi Group, we are extremely proud to have professionals among us who have been recognized with such a prestigious award,” emphasizes Giuliana Vicenzi, President of Vicenzi Group. “We congratulate them and thank them once again for the added value they bring to our company. This success is not just personal—it’s the result of collective effort. We truly feel like a big family, where every individual makes a difference and each employee is a valuable asset. The commitment shown over the years has resulted in a very high level of employee loyalty, with 25% of our staff having been with us for more than 30 years. A heartfelt thank-you to Elisa, to Marco, and to all our employees, who for 120 years have made it possible to share the excellence of Italian pastry with the world.”
