Giuseppe Vicenzi dies at 92 The Veronese entrepreneur who took Italian confectionery around the world
The Vicenzi Group announces the passing of its President Giuseppe Vicenzi, 92, and extends its condolences to his three daughters Giuliana, Valeria and Beatrice and the entire family.
Giuseppe Vicenzi, ever since he entered the family confectionery business at a very young age and turned it into a successful business, has always been a point of reference for his determination, innovative capacity and attention to his employees. Thanks to his work, an expression of great Veronese entrepreneurship, he has managed to take an artisan confectionery business to industrial and international level, always focusing on quality. He has involved his collaborators in this great challenge, making the company a growing and expanding reality. A group that continues on solid foundations, with strong ties to the territory and with many plans for the future.

Deeply connected to the city of Verona, since 1972 he, alongside his brother Mario, has led a unique sporting journey with Scaligera Basket, taking it to the heights of national and European success. In addition to his sporting commitment, President Vicenzi believed in the irreplaceable role of culture and for over 40 years supported the Fondazione Arena and the summer opera festival. His great attention to social issues was constant with his support, among others, of the Pia Opera Ciccarelli.
Countless are the interests and recognitions that Giuseppe Vicenzi has obtained, the most recent of which, in 2021, the appointment as Cavaliere del Lavoro, received from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
